Learning about beetroots is interesting, isn’t it? To give you some more information and knowledge about Beetroots, and how they are grown, here in this blog, I will be showing you the art of growing beetroots at home.
1. Take a pot and mix 50% Garden Soil, 30% Vermicompost and 20% Cocopeat, and make sure the pH level is between 6.5-7.
2. Make a few holes in the soil at a distance of at least 10cm in between and then put a few beetroot seeds in it.
3. Cover the holes with a very thin layer of the same potting mix, and then water it throughly.
4. Remove if any weeds are seen growing near it, and protect it from birds using a net.
PART 2 Harvesting the Beets
1. Fertilise the beets every month using nitrogen rich fertiliser such as Vermicompost, or a chemical fertiliser like N-P-K.
2. Done! You can now harvest and enjoy the beetroots when they are around 8cm wide.
That’s it!
