Managing plants in a not-so-suitable climate can be very tough, and it gets worse when the attacks of aphids, ants or pests are frequent. You may have seen many vegetables that you can grow at home either from my articles or from anywhere else. But did you know that Root Vegetables are a great choice for beginner gardeners? Along with the benefits of root vegetables, they can easily be grown in a pot without worrying about it much. Root Vegetables are a great food that are delicious and are full of nutrients, and should be included in your daily life for a healthy and fit body in this stressful and difficult period. But don’t know which root vegetables can be grown at home?

NO 1 Carrots

Carrots are a crunchy and delicious food, and also provides a punch of nutrients to your body. It is available in many colours like white, orange, yellow, purple and red. They are a great source of fibre, carotene, potassium, Vitamin K1 and is full of antioxidants, and is a great weight loss food that can also lower down the cholesterol levels in the body. The bright orange color of Carrots comes from an antioxidant called as Beta Carotene which gets converted in Vitamin A in your body. And cherry on the top, it can easily be grown at home in a 12-18 Inch Pot.


NO 2 Onions

Onions are a tasty and crunchy food item that is full of vitamins and minerals, which has many medicinal properties that are used to treat headaches, mouth sores and heart diseases. They are low in calories, but are packed with nutrients that makes it an ideal food to eat for weight loss. The Vitamin C present in it helps in repairing tissue, iron absorption and for regulating immune health. They are rich in Vitamin B including B9 (Folate) and B6 (Pyridoxine), that has a great role in metabolism, nerve function and RBC Production. Along with the benefits of Onions, they can be planted easily even in a dry soil.

And can easily be grown in a small area.
