Top 4 Fruits to Grow at Home

Adding fruits to your diet helps a lot to stay fit. Fruits are a delicious and healthy alternative to all the sugary junk foods and fast foods. They are an important part of our diet, which provides us with many vitamins and minerals.

But, the fruits that are packaged and are grown outside have many insecticides and many more harmful chemicals sprayed on them.

What if you would be able eat the fruits grown at your home, without any use of harmful chemicals?

This blog can help you with that. Here in this blog, I will be presenting you the Top 4 Fruits that you can Grow at Home.

NO 1 Strawberries 🍓

Delicious and sweet, Strawberries are among one of the most nutritious foods and one of the most preferred fruit to grow at home by many Gardeners.

Strawberries can be grown easily in small pots, without giving much special attention to them.

But, you may need to check for any sign of fungus on its fruit or the plant during flowering.

And, only a single plant of it should be grown in a 6-7 inch pot.

NO 2 Watermelon 🍉

Sweet and fully packed with water, Watermelon is a great low calorie food that can help you during weight loss, and it also hydrates your body.

It is fairly easy to grow in a pot as it’s seeds are quite big, and can be planted in any season.

Watermelon plant may need a large area/pot to grow and produce fruits. But, the good news is that it doesn’t need any special attention while its growing.

Watermelon seeds should be watered regularly, and there should be enough moisture in the soil during the germination period.

NO 3 Lemons 🍋

Citrus and delicious, Lemon adds a whole new flavour and smell on many dishes. But, could you believe that lemons are easy to grow at home as well?

Lemons can easily be grown both indoors and outdoors. Not only it is good for your health, but it can also add a citrusy and soothing fragrance in your garden.

Lemon trees are very huge, and takes upto 6 years just to produce a fruit. But, you can start growing a lemon plant and can also start harvesting lemons within a single year at your home by just planting a small cutting from a Lemon tree.

Don’t worry, the cuttings from the lemon tree won’t get much bigger than 3-4 feet, but will produce much more fruits than it would on a tree.

NO 4 Cherries 🍒

Sweet, Tangy, and Delicious, packed with many important vitamins and minerals, Cherries are a great choice when you are looking for a “Not So Big” Plant that can easily be grown at home.

But, I would recommend rather to get a grafted plant than growing it by seeds, because the chances of fruiting and flowering will be more in an already established plant.

While transplanting the grafted plant, you should not directly plant it in a big pot, as Cherries like their roots to be bounded in a packed area.

That’s it!
