How to Make Pav Bhaji at Home

Pav Bhaji is a quick, tasty and delicious snack that is originated from Mumbai, and is enjoyed by people after a harsh and exhausting day full of endless work and stress. Pav Bhaji is one of the most famous and popular street dish, that is not just a mouthwatering dish that represents Mumbai, but also represents India at global level. Pav is an India bread made of refined wheat flour, and Bhaji is a mix of various vegetables and spices, served together to delight everyone’s taste buds.

And here in this blog, I will be presenting you the art of making Pav Bhaji at home. So take a bowl of popcorn, and get ready to dive into an ocean of information about “Pav Bhaji”.



RECIPE
1. Clean cauliflower in hot water, and drain the water and keep it aside.

2. Into a pressure cooker, add 1/2 tsp Pav Bhaji masala and 1 tsp of butter. Then, add cauliflower, potatoes, carrots, cabbage and green peas, and mix it.

3. Now, add 2 1/2 cups of water, 1/2 tsp salt and pressure cook it for 2-3 whistles. And allow pressure to settle down on its own.

4. In a large kadhai, heat up 2 tsps of butter, and add chopped onions to it, and fry it till it turns translucent.

5. Then, add ginger-garlic paste and green chillies to it, and fry it till the smell of ginger-garlic paste goes away.

6. Now, add chopped tomatoes and chopped capsicum to it, and saute it for 2-3 minutes and till the tomatoes turn mushy.

7. Add chilli powder, turmeric powder and pav bhaji masala, and mix it well. And add the cooked vegetables, and mash the potatoes well.

8. Now, add salt to it, and simmer it for around 5 minutes and then turn the heat off.

9. Done! Now you can serve it with hot and buttery pav.
