How to Make Paneer Bhurji at Home

Paneer Bhurji is a delicious, tasty and a highly nutritious breakfast and lunch option that was originated in the Northern part of India, and is enjoyed by people along with a few Rotis (Indian Bread). Paneer Bhurji is made of crumbled paneer (Cottage Cheese), a few simple spices, onions, tomatoes and ginger-garlic paste, and also satisfies everyone’s mouth. This amazing and mouthwatering dish is very easy and quick to make at home, that also makes it an ideal food option to start your day with. Other than paneer bhurji, anda bhurji or egg bhurji is also a great and delicious snack enjoyed by people in the morning and after a very stressful day, which is basically scrambled egg but with a punch of spices and flavours.

But don’t know how to make Paneer Bhurji at home. No need to worry about it now, as here in this blog, I will be presenting you the art of making paneer bhurji at home.


RECIPE

1. Take 200-250gm paneer (Cottage Cheese) and crumble it with your fingers, and keep it aside for future steps.

2. Heat up 3tsps oil in a frying pan, and add 1/2tsp cumin seeds and let them crackle a bit.

3. Add 1/2 cup chopped onions and saute them on medium heat till they become soft and translucent.

4. Add 1tsp ginger-garlic paste, chopped tomatoes, chopped green chillies, and mix and saute it well on medium flame till the aroma of ginger-garlic goes away, and the tomatoes soften and oil gets deposited on the sides.

5. Then, add 1/4tsp turmeric powder, 1/2tsp red chilli powder, 1/2tsp coriander, a pinch of salt, 1/3tsp garam masala.

6. Mix and saute it well for 6-7 seconds, and crumbled paneer and salt as per your taste.

7. Cook and mix the bhurji thoroughly for a minute.

8. Turn off the flame, and add 3tsps chopped coriander leaves and mix it well.

9. Done! Now you can enjoy it along with paratha or roti.
