But don’t know how to grow Strawberries at home? No need to worry about it now, as here in this blog, I will be presenting you the art of growing strawberries at home.

PART 1 Growing Strawberry Seedlings

1. The first step is to choose a variety of strawberry that you want to grow. If you don’t know what varieties of strawberry seeds you can buy, or don’t know where to buy it from, you can search for it on Amazon, or any other e-commerce platform you like. Or if you are planning to grow it directly from a strawberry fruit, you can take it out from the skin of it.

2. After getting the seeds, take a 2-4 inch pot with 50% Vermicompost, 20% Garden Soil and 30% Cocopeat, and put a few strawberry seeds on the top of the soil, and then cover it with a very thin layer of the same potting mix.

3. Water the seed regularly, and put the pot in a cold area away from sunlight. And after about 2-3 weeks, small plants will be growing in it.

PART 2 Planting the Seedlings

1. After the seeds have sprouted, transplant the most healthiest seedlings out of them individually in a 6-7 inch pot.

2. Remove any weeds or unwanted plants growing near the strawberry plant as they can hinder the growth of it.

3. After a few weeks, white coloured flowers will start blooming on it. Remove or pluck off the first few flowers from it as doing this will encourage the plant to grow further.

4. Spray Neem Oil or any other insecticide on the plant to protect the plant from any unwanted insects that can damage the plant.

5. Fertilise the plant every month with nitrogen rich vermicompost, or you can also use NPK which stands for Nitrogen-Phosphorous-Potassium which is a chemical fertiliser.

PART 3 Harvesting the Fruits

1. After the plant has grown enough, you will be able to see many white flowers growing on it which will then develop the strawberry fruits.

2. When the strawberry fruit is 3/4 red, you can take the fruits out from it, and wash it in cold water before eating.

That’s it!
